Here are some helpful hints for decorating your Christmas tree:

  1. Begin at the very top of the tree with a strand of lights fastening the tip of the string of lights to the tree (you need to do this so it won’t move and to light up your treetop decoration).
  2. Place the strand of lights around the tree and arrange them on in a circular pattern around the tree heading towards the bottom of the tree (this is where you can add additional strings of lights and attach them together so as to create a very long stringof lights).
  3. The next step is to add garland (this could be ribbon to match your color scheme, a string of pearls, fruit strung together or homemade chains of craft paper).
  4. Hang each individual ornament or Christmas ball at intermittent levels around the tree making sure all empty areas are covered.
  5. Top your tree with an angel, star, Santa Claus, or any symbol of Christmas you like.
  6. The base of the Christmas tree should be embellished with a tree skirt or even colorful wrapping paper.
