RMB Construction is a partnership formed in September of 1999. Rodrick and Marguerite Bobo; thus RMB. We both took the required contractor course however, he took the test. We formed the partnership as a 49/51 percentage just incase we bid on government work; the WBE status will give us a break not to mention it is great for starting conversations. The reality is, I work the paper he works the men; we are a special team. RMB Construction is a member of the Better Business Bureau and the Western Regional Master Builders Association. We carry 2 Million coverage of General Liability Insurance, Worker Compensation Insurance and our company vehicles are commercially insured. Rod has been in construction as a carpenter since 1972; he has done rough and finish for both residential and commercial work. Rod s experience includes both hands on and supervision from beginning to end. He has a special quality with his workforce that makes a job fun as well as rewarding. I began with accounting, advancing to contract administration, plan reading, bid prep and presentation, jobsite supervision and eventually assistant project management (it is after all a Mans world). My main experience has been with major developers such as Christiana Companies (we built the first million dollar track in Huntington Beach, I moved from L.A. to San Diego with that company to build Tierrasanta); worked with EastLake Development (developed The Greens; a master planned community centered around a Golf course, yes I definitely know underground work) and The Baldwin Company (building a variety of mid-priced tracks from San Marcos to Otay Lakes). In 1999 we put our skills together and have been very successful. One factor in our success is our belief in teamwork. RMB Construction staff does the concrete, framing, plumbing, tile and painting. The subcontractors we use are personally well known, that is why we used them professionally. Our subcontractor trade team consists of electrical, drywall, stucco, roofing, specialty floors and cabinetry. When the occasion arises requiring a new trade on the team everyone has input. We complete jobs in a timely manner usually 2-3 months depending upon size and details. Jobs usually start after one job has passed rough inspection. Then another can begin, all
