Dissatisfied with your electrical contractor's response?
Safeguard your property by making sure:

  • You have the proper permits and/or check the status of any inspections by contacting your local L&I offce.

  • Use our "find local contractors" on the right menu to find the right electrical contractor for you

Taking legal action
Filing a lawsuit against an electrical contractor you are dissatisfied with should only be done as a last resort. Lawsuits are not served by L&I and must also follow the requirements of RCW 19.28.071. The lawsuit must be filed in Superior Court. The bonding company or banking authority and contractor must be served as per statute requirements.

Before filing a lawsuit, review the licensing and bonding of the electrical contractor at Look Up a Contractor, Electrician or Plumber.
