2 Final Judges Added - Contest Rule Change
For new readers here who may not be aware, we are just about to wrap up our hugely successful contest for the most creative remodeling project / blog documentation - it’s called our $5000 Remodel, Blog & WIN Contest.
We have received so many great entries that judging is going to be VERY difficult - they ALL should win!
Rule Change
If you’re a contestant, we have a small rule change. In my haste to put this all together, I was very anxious to create rules that would level the playing field but leave enough space to allow for free creativity. Because of the dual nature of the contest (remodel / blog), I wanted to be fair to ‘both sides’, and so I reasoned that we should have 3 ‘bloggers’ and 3 ‘remodeling types’ to be our judges. The problem is that this is an even number, and even numbers can create a tie (HELLO!) - which can be a very touchy thing when it comes to giving away this much money. So, to clean things up we’re only going to have 5 judges - still with the blogger / remodeler mix - but with a few who do both.
Two Final Judges Added
We are very happy to announce that we have found our two final required judges, and they both will be able to add very valuable perspectives to the judging panel.
Stan Tham
The first is Stan Tham of Home Rejuvenation blog and KNQ Associates. You may remember me recently mentioning them - they are the people who held the brilliant “10 MOST INFLUENTIAL DESIGN BLOGGERS” vote-off. What a great success that was, and an amazing design resource!! That’s where we found our second judge, Grace from Design*Sponge - she was the winner. Check out Stan’s blog, the home design items they feature are stunningly beautiful, desirous, and fun. A ‘must-bookmark’ for any design conscious homeowner. We’re very lucky to have Stan as one of our judges - thanks Stan!
Alister Cameron
Our final judge does remodels, but not on homes. He does design and themes, but not on rooms. He is a hard-core blogger. He remodels, designs, themes, builds and maintains - websites. A self-proclaimed ‘blogologist’, Alister Cameron, of AlisterCameron.com offers great tips for bloggers and those wanting to get started online. A true blogger, Alister talks about everything from ear-wax eating politicians, to new and cool gadgets, to all the newest and best tools and resources for your blog. A member of the very prestigious b5media family (ProBlogger.com, et. al.), Alister provides a comforting, easy to understand look at the rocket science of blogging.
