Established in 1999. Maine Electric Power is a continutation of Scott Burns many years in the electrical industry. Mr Burns entered into the electrical industry in 1968 and has installed electrical equipment ranging from door bells to power plants, from schools to waste water treatment plants. Electrical industry changes day to day with new methods, equipment and products it make sense to go with a industry leader. In 1996 I retired from the electrical industry after being a project manager and general field supervisor for a large electrical contractor in New Hampshire. Returning home to Bar Harbor and taking two years off,long time residents of Bar Harbor realized I was back in town and asked me to do work for them. Starting with small jobs, word spread that Scott's back. So in 1999 I started Maine Electric Power Systems. Today I enjoy many happy return customers and plan on many more new relationships.
