Nancy Stracka, Principal Interior Designer, is a second generation Interior Designer following in the footsteps of her mother who ran a successful interior design business in the 1970 s and 1980 s. She was a Fine Arts major at Indiana University and graduated from FIT in New York (Fashion Institute of Technology) in 1979 with a degree fabric design. Nancy worked as a fabric designer in New York and designed home and apparel fabrics for Mary McFadden, Halston, Schumacher and Jack Mulqueen. Her fabric designs were featured in the book, Textiles, A Handbook for Designers, which is still used in college Interior Design programs today. After working for Bloomingdale s in New York and Boston, she designed and manufactured her own home accessories line for home furnishings stores including Domain Home Fashions. She founded her Interior Design firm in 1989 with her husband Jeff Stracka, an experienced department store executive and clothing designer who manages operations and business development. She has designed interiors for 100 s of clients throughout New England.
