What should I write or video about?

Well, we will only accept QUALITY how-to articles and videos that are valuable information for home owners. So, if you are a plumber, write a how-to article with pictures about thawing frozen pipes (example), or a video about soldering copper pipe (example). If you're a paint retailer, write an article about choosing colors, or a video about which paint to use. If you're a professional remodeler, write about what to look out for when doing a remodeling project, or a video about how to install a toilet properly.

The choice is up to you, as long as it is a helpful, home improvement related HOW-TO type educational article or video. Of course, we have some guidelines, but we are pretty open about what you can submit to us.

How Can I Advertise Free, or Promote My Business?

Of course we will not accept articles or videos that focus primarily on promotion (we want HOW-TO articles and videos - see guidelines), we will allow you to provide a short paragraph at the end of your article or video that promotes your business or website. you can put links to your site in the promotiional paragraph as well, and we DO NOT put a rel="nofollow" tag on your link!

Within 24 hours we'll notify you if your submission has been accepted and published, and if so, where you can view it on our website.

Article and Video Posting Guidelines

By submitting an article or video using the form below you agree to the following conditions:

1. CONTENT INTENT AND CONTEXT:
   The purpose of these articles and videos is to provide valuable how-to information for our readers. The best article or video is one that educates the reader or viewer about a specific home-improvement task or project, allowing the reader or viewer to create a better living space for themselves and family. Therefore, any and all articles and videos submitted to RemodelingMySpace.com must be of an informational or educational nature and intent, and must be directly focused on 'how-to' information related to remodeling, renovation, home design, home care and maintenance, lawn and garden care, home building and restoration, or any other topic directly related to the home. Any submissions deemed by RemodelingMySpace.com to be of insufficient quality or excessively promotional will be requested to be edited, or will be removed and deleted immediately at the sole discretion of RemodelingMySpace.com.
   
   
2. SELF-PROMOTION:
   Authors and producers may promote their businesses, but as mentioned above, any submission that is deemed to be excessively promotional will be requested to be re-written or edited, or will be removed and deleted immediately at the sole discretion of RemodelingMySpace.com, BUT,
   The author or video producer may provide a final paragraph (not to exceed 200 words) within the article or video that is essentially an "About Us" paragraph, where the author/producer may then provide any promotional content for their blog, company, website, or themselves. The final promotional paragraph, or author credits may not have more than 2 (two) links pointing to outside websites.
   
   
3. LINKS AND LINKING POLICY:
   The author may not create more than 4 (four) links to outside websites within the main body of the article. An additional 2 (two) links may be added to the final promotional paragraph (author credit area), for a total maximum of 6 (six) links per article. Authors are encouraged to link directly to pages within the RemodelingMySpace.com website that they feel could be useful to the reader.
   
   
4. CONTENT OWNERSHIP:
   By submitting an article or video, author agrees that any and all information in and comprising a whole or part of an article or video becomes the sole property of RemodelingMySpace.com.
   
5. ALTERATION/EDITING:
   RemodelingMySpace.com will not remove any promotional material that is added by the authors or producers to any video or article that is submitted and published on this website. By submitting and publishing an article or video, author or producer agrees that RemodelingMySpace.com may at any time alter, edit, re-write, correct or delete any portion or all of any submission made by the author or the producer to RemodelingMySpace.com. RemodelingMySpace.com may remove or delete any article or video for any reason it sees fit, regardless of reason or condition.
